Howgills Bunk Barn Location.

Sedbergh is quite accessible to get to from all different parts of the country, as there is direct access from the M6 motorway and many scenic routes from all the neighbouring towns and villages. From the M6 motorway you take junction 37 exit and drive towards Sedbergh.

Continue on the A684 and about 5 miles along you will see a sign welcoming you to Sedbergh. To reach the Bunk Barn from here you simply carry on through the main street past the “Dalesman Inn” public house on the left and at the end of the sedberghstreet take the first turning on your left to the left of “Westwood Books” this lane then leads up to the Bunk Barn after driving through Castlehaw Farm.

If you are approaching from the North East you travel on the A1 and A66 from Scotch corner into Brough. From here you go on the A685, travelling through Kirkby Stephen, joining onto the A683, which leads you into Sedbergh. Travel past “Baliol school” on the right, then travel through the end of town and take the lane turning on the right after westwood books.

Travelling from the Leeds/Bradford you follow the A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale and then the A683 into Sedbergh. You reach the bunk barn by travelling through the Main Street and taking the first turning on your left next to “Westwood Books”.

Take the 564 bus into Sedbergh, which is around 10miles from the town or you can go on the scenic Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line which stops at Dent, Garsdale and Kirkby Stephen.
